On Saturday, May 25th, VIMC will offer an opportunity for extended practice together, both in our hall and virtually. This will be a 6-hour hybrid gathering. One of the six hours will include lunch and optional movement practice, with the option of a brief meeting with a teacher for 1:1 feedback and advice about your practice.
The day will open with some chanting and short instructions on the gradual path. Otherwise, it will be comprised of simply sitting and walking meditation. Here’s your chance to see what it’s like to sit for many hours of a day, to experience a little of what it’s like being on a retreat, without having to leave your community.
To allow participants time to meet with teachers, registration will be capped at 8 people in the hall and 6 people online. Susan Dreyer Leon will be the teacher supporting the virtual participants and Paul Rodrigue will be the teacher supporting those present in the hall.
The registration fee supports Vermont Insight and in addition, it is customary to donate to the teacher in appreciation for the teachings. AND We continue to offer the teachings freely to all who would benefit. Your practice is a gift to us all. When you register, please select from the fee levels listed, including fee waiver if that is appropriate.
Teacher Dana The teachings of the Buddha have been offered freely for 2600 years. In keeping with the Buddhist tradition, our teachers offer their time and guidance as a gift.
