The Gradual Training with Leigh Brasington
The Gradual Training: A Half-Day Retreat with Leigh Brasington
Saturday, February 10, 2024
1:00 – 4:00 pm (Eastern)
“The Gradual Training” (anupubbasikkhā) is the name given to a series of practices that we should undertake in order to progress on the spiritual path. It appears to be the curriculum for the monks and nuns in the Buddha’s sangha. But these practices are also highly applicable to lay practitioners as well. And multiple of these practices will probably be familiar to anyone who has practiced extensively in any Buddhist tradition. We will take a look at each of the elements of the Gradual Training and explore how they fit into our spiritual practice.
Format: Dharma talks, instruction (minimal), sitting practice, and opportunities for questions and response
